1. About Tarka
Tarka.ee is a social media and entertainment service for sharing photos, videos, comments and messages. It is provided “as is” and may change as the service develops.
2. Accounts are optional
You can browse and post to MediaWall without an account. An account lets you keep your posts together across devices and use account-based features. You must provide an email address you can access and keep your password secure.
3. Content and conduct
You keep ownership of content you upload. By posting, you give Tarka the permission needed to store, process and display that content through the service. Do not upload illegal content, content that violates another person’s rights, impersonation, harassment, malware or spam. Sexual or pornographic material may be restricted to the 18+ channel, rejected or removed. Content may be reviewed before publication.
4. Removing content
You can delete account-linked posts from My Tarka. Device-linked anonymous posts can be deleted from the device that created them. Tarka may restrict or remove content and accounts to protect users, comply with law or enforce these terms.
5. Data we process
For accounts, we process your display name, username, profile picture, bio, email address, encrypted password record, privacy choices, verification status, login and terms-acceptance timestamps, account status and content linked to your account. We also process technical information such as IP address, browser details, security logs, cookies and device ownership tokens needed for security and operation.
6. Why we use data
We use data to provide accounts, authenticate users, connect posts to their owners, deliver essential emails, prevent abuse, moderate content, maintain security and improve reliability. We do not use the account checkbox as permission for unrelated marketing.
7. Cookies and sessions
Essential cookies keep you signed in, protect forms and remember whether this browser has used a Tarka account. The browser marker contains no email address or password. Logging out ends the active session but may leave the harmless account-used marker so the site can show “Log in” instead of “Create account”.
8. Profiles, connections and retention
You control whether your profile is visible to everyone, signed-in Tarka members, accepted friends or only you. Field-level choices may separately hide your location, join date, friend information or public posts. Choosing “Show profile” on a post links that post to your profile subject to these visibility settings. Friend requests, blocks and notifications are processed to provide connection features. Anonymous posts remain linked to you privately for account management but do not display your profile. Data is retained while needed for the service, security, disputes and legal obligations, then deleted or anonymised.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to certain processing. My Tarka provides tools to download account data, temporarily deactivate an account and permanently delete it. Deleted account posts may remain as anonymous content unless removed beforehand. Some information may still be retained where legally required or reasonably necessary for security and disputes.
10. Children and 18+ content
Do not create an account if you are below the minimum age required by the law that applies to you. The 18+ channel is intended only for adults. Age gates do not replace parental responsibility or legal age requirements.
11. Security and service limits
Tarka uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee perfect security or uninterrupted availability. Never reuse an important password.
12. Changes and contact
Material changes will be shown through the service and the updated date will change. Questions, privacy requests and reports can be sent to privacy@tarka.ee.
